As more and more employees began embracing the BYOD trend and working from their own personal mobile devices it started becoming clear that there were issues with access to mobile email. The company was running Microsoft Exchange 2003 which offered a limited feature set for mobile device use, but was also coming up on its end-of -life as Microsoft will cease to support the solution come April 2014.
Upon assessing the clients network and mobile needs, Axxys advised that an update to Microsoft Exchange 2010 would be the best solution for their current infrastructure. Implementing and migrating the company from Exchange 2003 to 2010 proved successful as it provided a consistent communications delivery between the company and its employees, and its employees and their customers. The solution also provided a more secure delivery of data while providing the client with full control of their mail policies and rights.
